The word is ??????????, praetorium, as it is translated in Mr 15:16. It was the official residence of Pilate the governor in Jerusalem. Joh 18:28,33; 19:9; Ac 23:35. Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the imperial headquarters and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.
